Feel Closer | Hopin

The Film

The centerpiece of this project was a short-form branded film blending lyrical narration and intimate close-ups.
Every frame was crafted with intention - subtle, human, emotional.

The result was not a film about connection, but a film that connected.

The Challenge

Hopin, one of the world’s fastest-growing virtual events platforms, faced a universal question: How do you make digital feel human?

In a world where people spent countless hours behind screens, Hopin wanted to stand apart. The challenge wasn’t to showcase product features or interfaces, it was to embody their mission: bringing people together, even when they’re apart.

They came to us not for a traditional explainer video, but for a film that could become an experience in itself. A piece that didn’t just say connection, it made audiences feel closer.

Our Approach

We knew that to communicate intimacy, the film had to breathe. Our creative approach hinged on poetic minimalism:

  • Slow, deliberate cinematography, capturing quiet details like a hand gesture, a subtle glance, or light falling on a face.

  • A script built from metaphor and emotion, rather than product jargon, language that spoke to the heart first.

  • A warm, natural color palette designed to evoke closeness even through distance.

Instead of treating this as a “corporate production,” we built it like a short art film. The film was designed not just to tell a story, but to create a moment of pause for every viewer.

Impact

The film became more than marketing content, it became a touchstone for Hopin’s brand identity.

  • Awards: Winner of two Telly Awards: Best Branded Content (Under $100K) and Best Directing.

  • Audience Response: Viewers consistently described the piece as “deep,” “moving,” and “beautifully simple.”

  • Brand Positioning: Reframed Hopin from a digital events tool to a brand rooted in humanity and emotional resonance.

  • Cultural Relevance: Released at a moment when the world needed connection most, the film struck a universal chord that extended far beyond the tech industry.
